چکیده

Lignocellulolytic white-rot fungi allow the bioconversion of agricultural wastes into value-added products that are used in a myriad applications. The aim this work was to use corn residues (Zea mays L.) produce valuable under solid-state fermentation (SSF) with Pleurotus ostreatus. White-rot fungus P. ostreatus isolated from maize silage (MS) and thereafter it inoculated on MS as substrate compared stover (MSt) cobs (MC) determine best lignocellulosic for production lignocellulolytic enzymes extracellular protein. gave highest productivity CMCase (368.2 U/mL), FPase (170.5 laccase (11.4 MnPase (6.6 U/mL). This is MSt 222 U/mL, 50.2 4.55 2.57 respectively; MC at same incubation period 150.5 48.2 3.58 2.5 respectively. levels enzyme declined increasing after 15 20 days using MC, respectively, substrates. Maximum liberated protein content (754 878 µg/mL) recorded MS, while low amount (343 408 MC.

Lignocellulolytic enzyme production of Pleurotus ostreatus growth in agroindustrial wastes

The mushroom Pleurotus ostreatus has nutritional and medicinal characteristics that depend on the growth substrate. In nature, this fungus grows on dead wood, but it can be artificially cultivated on agricultural wastes (coffee husks, eucalyptus sawdust, corncobs and sugar cane bagasse). The degradation of agricultural wastes involves some enzyme complexes made up of oxidative (laccase, mangane...

Effect of manganese on preferential degradation of lignin by Pleurotus ostreatus during solid-state fermentation.

Practical utilization of the polysaccharides in the lignocellulosic complex is limited because of the high lignin content of the complex. In this study we focused on the effect of Mn on lignin and cellulose biodegradation during solid-state fermentation by the edible mushroom Pleurotus ostreatus. Preferential degradation of lignin was enhanced by the addition of Mn(II) to cotton stalks at conce...

Lignocellulose Degradation during Solid-State Fermentation: Pleurotus ostreatus versus Phanerochaete chrysosporium.

Lignocellulose degradation and activities related to lignin degradation were studied in the solid-state fermentation of cotton stalks by comparing two white rot fungi, Pleurotus ostreatus and Phanerochaete chrysosporium. P. chrysosporium grew vigorously, resulting in rapid, nonselective degradation of 55% of the organic components of the cotton stalks within 15 days. In contrast, P. ostreatus g...

Statistical Optimization of Laccase Production and Delignification of Sugarcane Bagasse by Pleurotus ostreatus in Solid-State Fermentation

Laccases are oxidative enzymes related to the degradation of phenolic compounds, including lignin units, with concomitant reduction of oxygen to water. Delignification is a necessary pretreatment step in the process of converting plant biomass into fermentable sugars. The objective of this work was to optimize the production of laccases and to evaluate the delignification of sugarcane bagasse b...

Characterization of the Growth and Laccase Activity of Strains of Pleurotus Ostreatus in Submerged Fermentation

Kinetic parameters of growth and laccase activity of five ATCC strains of Pleurotus ostreatus in submerged fermentation were evaluated. The best strain for laccase production and the time of maximum laccase activity were also determined. The greatest laccase activity (37490 U/L), laccase productivity (78 U/L h), specific growth rate (0.026/h), and specific rate of laccase production (119 U/gX h...
